Probe Application and Inspection execution
Eddy current probe systems are applied that dispose of special centering elements. These spread automatically to the larger inner tube diameter.
In addition the probe system disposes of translatory and rotatory path sensors that allow an exact assignment of the eddy current data to a position over sand lance scope and length in case of a complete travel along the total tube length. Thus a visualisation of the eddy current data by C-scan is possible.
(Hollow) Shaft Inspection
For the automated inside and outside surface inspection of (hollow) shafts a fully automatic scan system is available in the laboratory.
High Pressure Tubes
Another application are heavy-walled high pressure tubes that are manufactured from the full material. With these inspections only inside defects are inspected. The inspection technique is in similar – by means of rotating inner sensors; these are either moved manually or by automatic feed systems through the tubes.
The inspection can also be executed on site so that possible transport costs do not apply.
In all cases the eddy current signals are presented and analysed as C-scan.
